Fortune Retelling Rescheduled

It’s with great sadness that we have to announce the rescheduling of Fortune Retelling Live.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak the gig industry has virtually frozen and practically every single gig over the next 4 weeks is now cancelled or postponed.

The chosen date is 26th of September and The Met will be in touch regarding your options for transferring your tickets or refunds.

We are currently attempting to arrange a live stream gig for the evening of the 4th and will keep you updated as we finalise the proceedings.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience, but as is the general consensus of most people in this situation the safety of the public is paramount.

A Successful Start for the Spirit of Prog

It was a great night for the Spirit of Prog last Saturday as the new society kicked off at Local Authority in Sheffield.

A nice crowd assembled to see us play a selection of tracks from all the albums, including a very well received version of the 18 minute “Delicate”.

We also announced that the 4th of April 2020 is now the final agreed date for Fortune Retelling. The gig goes on sale soon from The Met website and we advise you to buy very quickly as tickets are strictly limited to 80.

We’d all absolutely love to thank all of you who made our evening last night one to remember.

From the show staff, LeeLee, the engineers, Jake our own sound engineer; Ethryll (Jake, Martin and Hannah); Alistair McGeorge; Martin Hudson for bringing us onstage with his “glasses on the floor” and of course to all of you who bought tickets and supported the great Spirit of Progressive Rock on their brand new venture.

We are currently seeking a gig for October or November; but until then we will be out again next April as we celebrate 15 years of Fortune Telling with a special one-off performance and live recording.

Until then, keep climbing those ladders to the top! We’ll certainly try.
